Timo Timmerman Dean
Degree YR2 Course: Personal Coaching Programme
Has worked in higher education for twenty-five years. He has held various senior management positions. He has been Head of a Faculty of Health, Dean of a School of Management and Director of postgraduate studies in Economics, Communication and Knowledge productivity. He has initiated a number of new courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. He has a strong interest in innovation in education and in the internationalisation of educational programs. In 1989 he introduced problem based learning in the School of Health and he was one of the founders of a broad European Erasmus Network for student- and staff exchange. After his Masters in Learning and Development at the TIAS Business School in Tilburg he was involved in projects related to knowledge productivity, the cooperation between education and business and the development of corporate universities.
 
Gert Meijer Associate Dean
Has worked in higher education for thirty years; he started his career as a lecturer in psycho-/psychoanalytical themes at a School of social work. For the last 15 years he has held posts as dean or director in the field of higher education e.g. director of an ICT academy, director of a School for social work, director of a school for HRM. He successfully introduced the concept of ‘competence-based learning’ in the Haarlem University of Professional Education. He introduced and managed a number of courses at post-graduate level. He is an entrepreneur and works as a coach/consultant for young entrepreneurs.
 
Ben Wijering Associate Dean
Degree YR2 Course: Personal Coaching Programme
Was educated at the Free University of Amsterdam, Leiden University and Nijenrode University. He has broad experience in higher education in the Netherlands, both as a senior lecturer and as a manager. He developed a Bec. degree in Media & Entertainment Management in the Netherlands in 1997, the first of its kind to be accredited by the Dutch government. The MEM programme is currently the fastest growing Bachelor of Economics in Dutch higher education. He has worked as dean of the School of Media & Entertainment Management and is currently employed as associate dean at an institution of higher education in the Netherlands. He has written for and produced TV and has an extensive network in the Dutch and international entertainment industry and international education.

Hielke Wierda Secretary
Has been working in higher education for more than twenty years. He was the initiator of several postgraduate courses at Haarlem Business School: Small Business, International Business, European Business Management. In cooperation with Kingston University he developed and started the Haarlem Business School / Kingston University MBA for the Dutch market. Since 5 years ago this MBA has been AMBA accredited. He holds an Honorary Master of Business Administration from Kingston University. He is currently managing director of Wilbru BV, consultants in marketing. In this position he is involved in the HEO-ICT-project, a cooperation between Industry and Higher Education in the Netherlands. One of the topics he is working on is the development of the theory and projects of Experience Marketing. He used to be non executive member of several trading companies; currently he is a member of the shareholders’ committee of Royal Lankhorst Euronete Group BV and a board member of three charitable foundations.
 
Ir. Hubert Deitmers Managing Partner Van den Ende & Deitmers BV 
Until 2005 he was a Member of the Executive Board of Endemol, the world’s largest independent provider of content for television, telephone and computer platforms. He joined Endemol early 1996 and has played a leading role in all acquisitions completed by the company since its IPO late 1996. Amongst others he was also responsible for Corporate Development and Legal Affairs.  Prior to Endemol, Hubert has had over eight years of international venture capital experience in Europe and the US at Atlas Venture, a leading international venture capital partnership with a focus on information technology and life science.  In 2005 he also co-founded Solid Ventures, an early stage venture capital partnership focussing on Dutch ICT companies. He is a supervisory board member of several companies.  He holds a Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Science from the University of Eindhoven.

Richard was born in 1971 in Wassenaar, the netherlands, and studied business in Rotterdam at the Erasmus University. He started his professional career in the field of flexible worksolutions. He has over ten years of experience in various management positions. Since 2007 Richard is appointed as Area Director at Randstad Uitzendbureau. In this job he is responsible for mass customisation in the Netherlands. His personal life consist of enjoying his wife and two kids, scubadiving, books and theatre.
 
Charles van Megen
(1958) studied Marketing in Utrecht (HEAO) and Organisational design and Change at the university of Groningen (RUG) before he built a career along the traditional lines of sales and marketing into general management. He has almost 20 years experience in ICT and Publishing. He worked for companies like AT&T, CSC, KPN and Wegener. Most of his career was on the international marketplace in Europe (west, central/east and Nordics), USA and Asia. Carried Profit and Loss responsibility up to 100 mio Euro and managed organizations with over 700 direct and 2000 indirect staff. Experienced both in start ups and well established companies. He always stays focussed on the financial performance and customer satisfaction. But experience has taught him that only people make great companies. Currently Vice President of the international practice of Mercuri Urval. Active in several education related foundations and associated with the New Business School to execute the Personal Coach Program. He is married, has three wonderful daughters and lives in Amsterdam.

Is an experienced manager. He enjoyed being almost two decades long active in a number of International sales, marketing and business management positions in the medical device & pharmaceutical industry. He decided to dedicate the next step in his career to education and changed his focus to one of the key factors of success: interpersonal communication. After certification as NLP master practitioner he studied the areas of NLP trainer and systemic work. He is founder and owner of a training institute. The mission of his institute is to give people guidance in being successful as effective communicators. For managers he offers a special training to increase their awareness for the advantages of coaching in their job. His trainees are managers who want to develop their leadership attitudes. He combines his passion for communication & management training with a position as International education manager in a worldwide operating medical high-tech company. As member of ‘The Friends of the New Business School Amsterdam’ he especially supports the NBS passion for increasing awareness of the next generation entrepreneurs for corporate social responsibility.
 
 Paul Schröder
(1954) has 25 years of international experience in the Venture Capital World. Previously he was senior investment manager at Atlas Ventures and after that, Managing Partner at Inter Crown Investments (Corporate Venture Capital Company of the Royal Dutch KPN). Paul started in 1997 with Residentie Investments, putting over EUR 400 million to work over the years in direct and indirect funds. Until 2005 he was the CEO and President of the Residex Venture Capital Network and until July 2002 he served as Chairman of the Dutch Venture Capital Association (NVP). He also served as a Supervisory Board Member for Life Sciences Partners Funds and the P3 Technology Fund and was on the board of former portfolio companies like SNT and Bibit. Paul Schröder holds a degree in Business Administration and Civil Law.
 
Joost van Niekerk
Is a physician with a business education (MBA). He has worked twelve years as a general practitioner and has build a Health Care centre. He was active as a instructor for the general practitioner education, related to the University of Utrecht. After his carrier as a general practitioner, he worked for six years in several management functions within a big insurance company in the Netherlands (Achmea). His last function was Chief Medical Officer of the Health Care insurance business unit. At the end of 2005 he was one of the founders of “StrategieConsult”, a consulting firm for the Health Care industry.

Matthijs Bos
Studies political science at the University of Amsterdam. He started his professional career in the field of higher education at HEO-ICT, a subsidized project in which educational material was developed in a cooperation between industry and professional universities. After this project he was involved in the start-up and running of the Educational Service Provider “Espelon”, in which the central hosting and (didactical) support of newly developed digital educational material was organised. This experience led to a position as a product advisor with the “Digitale Universiteit”. Since a couple of months, he started his own enterprise as an advisor/coordinator within the field of ICT.

Alexander Wright BSc., MSc.
Born 10 December 1975 in Swindon, England, began his university education at The University of Plymouth (UK). In 1998 he gained a 1st class B.Sc. with honors in Geograpy. During his thesis fieldwork he met and worked with Dr. Orson van de Plassche from the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam (VU). It was this connection that brought him to The Netherlands where, a year after his graduation, he was to embark on a journey into the world of scientific research. Based at the VU, in the last 7 years he has worked on two major European funded research projects involving the reconstruction of past sea-levels from the geological record, in 2005 gained a cum laude M.Sc. in the Department of Palaeoclimatology and Geomorphology, gave numerous presentations at national and international conferences, and is in the final stages of completing a Ph.D. thesis. When not working at the New Business School, Amsterdam or on his research, he enjoys the gym, climbing, books and films, socialising with friends and attempting to learn the Dutch language.

Maurits Bakker

Maurits’ professional background is in applying Quantitative Analysis to real-life situations. He got his MSc degree in applied mathematics at the Technical University of Delft in 2004. Since 2005, he has been working for PricewaterhouseCoopers within the Quantitative Analysis group. This group consists of 15 econometricians, statisticians and mathematicians. Maurits’ field of special interest are financial risk management, financial modelling and data management. He is a certified financial risk manager and won several prizes with his thesis on “Quantifying operational risk within banks according to Basel II”. Besides his work Maurits loves to do sports, especially squash, golf, skiing and windsurfing.
 
Ir. Roger A.B.C. Rammers, MIEMS, CMC.

After completing his study Electronics at the Royal Militaire Academy he has completed this study at the University Twente. Five years later he completed also his study “Industrial Engineering Management Science”. He is registered at the OOA as “Certified Management Consultants” (CMC). With a well developed analytical mind and extensive knowledge of management techniques and capabilities I am well prepared to improve the output of companies in a measurable way: som y theme is: “to improve the quality of management in a measurable way” (see www.arides.com). As well as in production companies as well in Service delivery companies Roger had several management positions: Royal Netherlands Airforce, INQA, at Cap Gemini and Deloite & Touche Bakkenist. As turnaround manager he revived FAIR (old Fokker derivate) and as an interim project leader/ programme manager he worked at the Postbank, Schuitema (C1000), NATO/NAMSA (Luxembourg), Royal Netherlands Army, Dutch Rehabilitation (St. Reclassering Nederland) and at KPN at board level. Roger has been counseling these companies and management teams in process improvement and he has specialised in (independent) programme management of large ICT projects. In 2002 Roger wrote a report on Output steering at the Dutch Rehabilitation for the Tweede Kamer. In 2005 Roger was assigned by the CEO of KPN (Scheepbouwer) to take the lead in the XPedition programme (outsourcing of office automation to Atos Origin). In 2006 he has been counselling Rijkswaterstaat and the National Police (CIP). In the NBS Roger is responsible for the subject Project management together with the “Indiaproject” to build several schools for least fortunate children in India. Other lectures given by Roger A.B.C. Rammers are at the IBO (quality management & project management) and master classes “Quality and Management” at or Getronics/Pink Roccade Educational Services. In his free time Roger is busy to support some charity projects for less privileged children in the Netherlands (Cystic Fibrosis children) and in India (Freedom Through Education) and further he likes travelling (see www.roundtabletour.nl), a good dinner and nice wines which he also likes to collect.

Studied at the Universiteit van Amsterdam (Economics & Geography), and followed post–doc courses in Marketing and Finance. After his study, he has been working for six years in media- consultancy, both at advertising agencies and at media buyers. In these roles he designed marketing and media strategies for a wide range of local and international clients and was also responsible for the media buying process. From 1996 till 2001 he worked as Marketing Director at KinderNet, a special interest broadcaster oriented towards children in the Netherlands and Belgium. In this position he was responsible for a broad range of marketing and communications activities both aiming at the consumer-market and the business-to-business market. From 2001 he has been operating as an interim-consultant doing assignments for digital TV operators like Digitenne and KPN. Since 2004 he has teaching posts at the Institute for media management (HvA) and SRM (Stichting voor Reclame & Marketing onderwijs).

Is a producer-director in the world of television, media and entertainment. With his Dutch based company ‘Brooklyn Media’, he produces for public and commercial broadcasters in Holland and abroad. He studied the History of Culture, Mentalties and Ideas at the University of Utrecht. After a study at TTC in London he started a career as director and worked, and still works, with many famous and talented hosts, artists and performers. His postgraduation as one of Les Entrepreneurs de l’Audiovisuel Européen secured him, and his company, within a strong international network. From the start of the new millenium, Ruud van Gessel entered very succesfully into the arena of new media, triple play, creating events and format development, and started AKZ Music as a musicpublisher. “A good idea still travels the world as long as you are willing to learn and share.” His formats such as ‘All Children Sing’ are sold internationally with China and Asia as just some of his succesfull territories.Van Gessel writes about the media in ‘Broadcast Magazine’ and his interviews with famous artists are published in glossy’s such as ‘ZIN’. With his welfarefoundation www.allekinderenzingen.org he supports talented children in many poor areas in the world because for him“creativity is the basis for all understanding.”

He has been involved in the wine industry for the last 15 years, working for Sopexa (promotion bureau for French food products) as manager of the wine department and for De Waal, Zey & Engels (1st wine agent in the Netherlands) as marketing manager. Four years ago, he decided to start Alterego, a marketing-communication agency dedicated to wine, food and culture. Alterego is a as full-service Marketing Communication agency specialised in wine, food & culture. Its core business: development of brands, marketing strategy, creative concepts & implementation. Alterego's specialisation has led to a solid portfolio of customers in the mentioned lines of business and a solid list of conducted marketing campaigns.

Is a senior consultant for the globally operating consulting and engineering firm Altran. Before his current job of advising management on IT strategy Rick has been a manager with Dutch IT-firms as Syntegra and ICT Automatisering and has been the Benelux manager for the Canadian software company Speedware Corp and the English firm System Software International. Rick has an engineering degree from the HTS Haarlem and graduated with a MBA from Kinston University London. As a hobby Rick teaches Information Management at the New Business School, the Haarlem Business School and HBO Nederland. Further Rick is in the advisory board of the Hogeschool Utrecht and HBO Nederland.
                                   
Mariëtta de Bruïne
Degree YR1 Course: The Fuel (Art History)
Born in the Hague in 1954, studied history and history of art at Leiden and Amsterdam. After completing her masters in history of art she taught for ten years at a secundary school in Amsterdam till 1979. Afterwards she taught in South Africa and the United States before settling in Amsterdam as a free lance arthistorian in 1992. Lecturing in museums and taking groups to cities like Barcelona, Bilbao Budapest and Saint Petersburg, to name just a few destinations, guiding people at exhibitions in museums in Holland is the main core of her small business. Since 1997 she has lectured at the International departement of the UvA, Webster University in Leiden and at Wofford College in South Carolina, in her spare time she loves traveling to unusual places, hiking in the mountains is a favourite holiday pastime, drawing and schulpting. Mariëtta lives in Amsterdam.
 
 
Joe Goldiamond

A native of Chicago who lived, studied and worked in Paris for 20 years, Joe was awarded the M.B.A. from Yale and the Diploma from the Institut d’ Etudes Politiques (Sciences Po), in Paris, where he completed a specialization in the field of International Relations. Joe has some 25 years of professional experience, much of it in the field of higher education. Earlier, he was Associate Dean of Chicago’s Graham School of Management, with senior responsibility for its overseas campuses in Paris and Milan; Marketing Director in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for the ERP division of Computer Associates, at the time the world’s 2nd largest provider of business software; and co-founder and Vice President for Sales & Marketing for the firm now known as Laureate Online Education. Within a two year period, he helped guide Laureate from take-off to market leadership in Europe and Asia. Joe also taught at the Sarbonne, in Paris, for nearly a decade.
 
 
                         
Randy Bootland

Randy Bootland is a Canadian who has been living and working in the Europe since 1987. He has taught over 200 courses and given nearly 2.000 classes at the BA, MA and MBA levels in North America, Europe and Asia. He earned an MBA from York University in Toronto and was selected to participate in an exchange program in Paris (ESSEC). His business experience includes working as a communications specialist for an enterprise and development center at one of Canada's leading universities, functioning as the marketing coordinator/associate director for a local campus of a global university, and serving as a strategic advisor for a world renowned architectural firm with operations in five countries.

Born 3 September 1966 in Liverpool UK. Obtained a BTEC Higher National Diploma in 1998 at Doncaster Metropolitan Institute of Higher Education in Mineral Surveying; subsequently graduated in the same subject with a 2:1 honors degree at Leeds University in 1991. Started an international career as a hydrographic surveyor with the Dutch-British dredging contractor Royal Boskalis Westminster BV, working on many projects around the world as Hong Kong, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Guyana, Suriname, Ireland and The Netherlands. Apart from working with contractor’s worked as a client representative and checking engineer for the Rijkswaterstaat. As from 1996 deviated from dredging into offshore oil and gas exploration with Geocom, Osiris BV and Fugro Survey BV moving away from field work into data management, validation and client orientated reporting. Retrained in 2005 as an English Language Teacher at The British Language Training Centre in Amsterdam gaining a Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA grade B). Since graduating has taught courses in preparing students for the Cambridge ESOL Main Suite of Examinations which include First Certificate English, Certificate in Advanced English, Certificate of Proficiency in English and Certificate in Business English. Alongside this teaches courses in general and business English at all levels at various language training centres as well as in company courses. Has trained students in academic writing at; the International School for Humanities and Social Sciences (ISHSS) in Amsterdam. Is currently an oral examiner for the Cambridge Main Suite of Examinations for the British Council of the Netherlands. Bought a house in Haarlem in 1992 providing a base in between running various international projects. Lived in Hong Kong from 2001 –2002 before returning to Haarlem in 2002 with husband Daan and three children Max (1997) and twins Kate and Josie (2000).  
 
   
Alex van der Zwart MScBA

Van der Zwart is a business consultant and partner at CSR Academy. Besides this he works closely as a research associate at the Department of Business-Society Management, Rotterdam School of Management. His research and consulting is aimed at Corporate Social Responsibility in a bargaining society, Reputation Management, Issues Management, Business-Society relationships and NGO activism. He has a MSc degree, with a specialization in Business-Society Management and International Reputation Management. His MA thesis formed an important part of a concise book he published in 2003 jointly with professor Rob van Tulder. The Dutch book ‘Reputaties op het spel’ (www.reputatiesophetspel.nl) now forms an integral part various teaching programs. The book has received a nomination for Management of the Year 2004 in The Netherlands. In 2006 he and prof.dr. Rob van Tulder have jointly published the book International Business-Society Management (www.ib-sm.org).

Christine Fitzgerald has been an Adjunct Professor of Psychology and Management at Webster University since 1985 and was head of their department of Behavioral and Social Sciences from 1992 until 1999 and from 2000 until 2003. In early 2007 she joined the faculty of the New Business School in Amsterdam giving courses and personal coaching to their undergraduate students. She served for nine years as Assistant Professor of Marketing at Nijenrode University and has also been a faculty member of European University, Echelon University and the Hotel School of the Hague. Her corporate experience includes a professional post at Chemical Bank (now Chase) in New York City, where she worked in marketing research and strategic long-term planning, project management, and corporate training. A magna cum laude graduate of Pace University, she received the MA in developmental psychology from Columbia University. She is the recipient of the Prince Fellow Award for Distinguished excellence in teaching, the Pace University Award for Excellence in Psychology, the Percy H. Johnson Award for Academic Excellence and was a nominee for the William T. Kemper Award for Excellence in Teaching (2004-2005 and 1999-2000).  Ms. Fitzgerald is a co-founder and director of Vivace: Professional Development, an organization specializing in management training, seminars, workshops and coaching and she has provided business education in North America, Europe and Asia.
 
  
Ies Hoogland

After graduation at Leiden University (1971) Ies Hoogland starts his career as account executive at advertising agency Lintas in Rotterdam. In 1978 he joins KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. A specialist in marketing communications, he is responsible for international advertising and corporate identity. Always a fan of Dr. Edward de Bono's lateral thinking he decides to broaden his knowledge in this area and completes the Expert Course Creative Thinking at the Centre for the Development of Creative Thinking (Antwerp) in 2000. From that moment on he advocates creative thinking, initially within KLM and later - after retiring from KLM in 2004 - as an independent trainer/teacher. His interests and hobbies are: design, art, history, literature, philosophy, theater, Spain & Italy, music and running (to keep the mind fresh). He performs in various jazz ensembles. Ies Hoogland lives in Hoofddorp, together with wife Markan and son Maarten.

Daniel Russell BA

Daniel Russell holds degrees from Holy Cross College (BA) 1983, Leiden University (LLM) 1995 and the University of Louvain, (JCB) 2005, and did postgraduate work at New York University and the Hague Academy of International Law. Mr. Russell began his career as a legislative aide to New Jersey Senator Lesniak. He later served as director of an economic development project for Newark International Airport, following which he became executive director of an NGO regional office. In 1993 he was awarded a Rotary Fellowship to study at Leiden University, and he has studied and worked in Europe since that time.
Upon completion of his masters thesis he worked on several research projects for the public international law department of the Leiden law faculty, notably in the fields of energy, environmental and air and space law. He continues to work as a legal consultant in the field of aerospace law, and has been contracted by the European Commission as an advisor on the legal framework for the Galileo satellite navigation system.
Mr. Russell has been a lecturer in law for the past 12 years at European University The Hague, Webster University Leiden, Hogere Hotelschool The Hague and Inholland University in Rotterdam. Among other extracurricular activities, he has served as a judge for the past six years at the Telders International Law Moot Court, the annual competition held at the Peace Palace for law students from throughout Europe.
 
 
 
Peter Jens
Bridging Course: The Fuel, Creative Industries
A True Third Culture Thinker and a Global Soul. Educated as an engineer (THE) , followed marketing courses (NIMA) and courses for Financial Analysis & Strategy. His career started in the Netherlands and took him through Taiwan, Russia, Portugal, Brazil, Spain, Switzerland and the United States. He currently lives near Liege, which -to him- is a wonderful laboratory of city- and social development and the BENEDE tri-state area as a great FDI challenge.
Peter advises larger companies such as Renault, DHL, Makro, ChevronTexaco and is currently CEO of Goodies Media & Awareness BV, a company that aims to increase sustainable consumption in Benelux significantly. He is also actively involved in AGI start-ups in the United States and persuasive communication projects in Northern Europe.

Degree Course YR1 & YR2: Experience Marketing
Drs. Matt van der Poel RM (40) studied HEAO-CE at the Ichthus Hogeschool in Rotterdam, where he graduated in 1989. In 1996 he completed his academic (evening) study Management Sciences at the Open University. In 2002 and 2003 he completed two post academic executive courses at the University of Amsterdam in Strategic Management and Experience Economy. In 2003 he was appointed Registered Marketer (RM).

Since 2003 Matt van der Poel is Partner & CXO at Fresh Forward, an agency specialised in next level branding and concepting. He started his career in 1990 as Project Manager at ISEO Marketing Research. Then he moved to Transavia Airlines to become Manager Marketing, Research & Development. After that he was Director at marketing & research agency Censydiam. Before he joined Fresh Forward he was Director Strategy & Marketing at TUI Nederland during four years.

Furthermore Matt van der Poel is guest lecturer at the Academy for Management in Groningen. He has written several articles about futurology, innovation and experience marketing and regularly speaks at conferences. Drs. Jim van der Meer Mohr 
Degree YR1 Course: The Fuel (Art History)
After having finished his study Art History in Utrecht (1983) Jim has worked as an auctioneer and valuer at e.g. Phillips Auctioneers and Sotheby’s. Furthermore he has taken positions at Aon Artscope Fine Art Insurance Brokers and Apresa Valuations (of art and antiques); next to his jobs he has been a board member of the Bredius Museum in The Hague for 20 years.
In 2005 Jim started his own consultancy as Fine Art Consultant. Next to valuations of art and antiques for insurance and other purposes, he is active as guest lecturer to a.o. Radboud University Nijmegen and HOVO The Hague. He is also frequently asked as guest speaker for banks and insurance companies. Finally he uses his art historical skills as researcher and author. Since 1983 Jim has written over 100 papers for (art) magazines and published 5 books. Currently he is also vice-charirman of the Geschiedkundige Vereniging Oranje-Nassau.
 
                                        
Marjon van Opijnen MA 
Degree YR1 Course: Project Management
Marjon holds a master degree in Business Science (1996) from the Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands. She is senior consultant in de areas of micro- and meso-financing and corporate social responsibility in emerging economies. In this position she is responsible for different multistakeholder initiatives in food supply chains. The major goal is to establish sustainable practices.

Since 2000 she is working in the corporate social responsibility area and the international development sector. She gained her experience in the commercial and banking sector in the position of account manager at the Triodos Bank. She was responsible for the loan management of small and medium size enterprizes in a.o. consultancy, health care and recycling sector. Before this position she worked as product manager in the potato starch and paper industry.
From 2003 upto 2006 Marjon worked for Médecines sans Frontières in several projects in Africa and Asia. She was responsible for the country Financial Management and Human resources management of as well expatriate as local and regional staff. Back in the Netherlands she accepted a job with Cordaid, mainly focussing on rehabilitation and emergency aid in Horn, West and Eastern Africa.
Marjon is currently also writing a thesis on 'The roots of the supply chain', bringing together political philosophy and business ethics.
 
 
Alexandra Aubertin 
Degree YR1 Course: Project Management
Alexandra Aubertin is a Certified Project Manager (PMP®), she holds a Master Degree in Physical Chemistry from the French Petroleum Institute of Paris. Since 1997, Ms. Aubertin has worked at IBM in the Netherlands where she is responsible for managing projects in the IT Outsourcing and Events Management sectors. Her first event - the IBM Benelux Innovation Week - received the Computable Award for the best IT Event of the Year in 2006. She also teached MS Project® at the IBM Business School of Amsterdam and worked as ISO9001 internal auditor for 2 years. During a sabbatical leave in 2004-2005, Alexandra lived and worked in India, Vietnam and Cambodia for Pharmaciens Sans Frontières and other non-profit organizations as a monitoring & evaluation consultant and marketing advisor. Born in France in 1974, Alexandra has a passion for travelling and photography. She also enjoys painting in her free time and is 1st kyu in Aikido.
                                        
 
Marry Ouwehand
Bridging Course & Degree YR1 Course: Mathematics & Statistics
Marry Ouwehand studied Applied Mathematics at the Delft University of Technology. After writing her master thesis in statistics at PricewaterhouseCoopers she joined the Quantitative Analysis group of the PwC Advisory department in 2007. Her focus is on data analysis, data management and financial modelling. She has done several projects in banking, assurance and the commercial sector. Besides her work, Marry enjoys travelling and mountain biking.
 
 
 
Ron van Raaijen
Bridging Course: Showcase II
Ron van Raaijen (48) is interim manager since 2005. He started his career in the film industry. In 1988 his path changed towards the promissing and profitable pharmaceutical industry. In 2000 he finished at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen 2 post doc courses: “Pharma marketing” and “Communication and media strategy”. Through various sales and marketing jobs he finished his pharmaceutical career in 2003 as a general manager, responsable for 4 European countries.
In 2003 he started his own creative company in designing and producing functional objects, which divers from small jewelry boxes to complete interiors for business and private purposes. Due to physical problems he had to stop and went back to his former life. He did several interim sales and marketing jobs for AstraZeneca, Nutricia and Pluripharm. Since 2009 he is added to the lecturer staff as sales trainer for the Bridging Course students. Besides his kids at the time consuming age of 16 and 18, he loves to play tennis, hockey and squash, goes to the cinema and theatre and loves to cook a nice meal for friends.
